Band of the week
Shooga KatzVocally, visually and musically dynamic, Shooga Katz have forged ahead since 1995, refining their line-up and developing a repertoire and show that is second to none! Go to www.shoogakatz.com.au to visit their audio/visual page and galleries. Shooga Katz 7pc line up features choreographed routines with three stunning and powerful female lead vocalists, backed by four highly professional musicians on guitar, bass, drums and keys. Whether they are playing in front of thousands of people at major outdoor events, 1,500 corporate guests at Sydney’s prestigious Town Hall, or 300 people at the local nightclub, Shooga Katz never fail to produce an impressive performance. Racking up hundreds of satisfied clients over the past 12 years such as Optus, Oztag, Herbalife, Red Cross, Ikea, Street Machine, Westpac and Telstra, you can read more on their ‘testimonials’ and ‘corporate’ pages. Some Shooga Katz event highlights include a huge show performing to 7,000 people at Darling Harbour for Herbalife’s Australasian event. For 7 years running the band performed in front of 10 to 18 thousand people at the annual Summernats event in Canberra, once performing on stage with Australia’s very own Angry Anderson. Angry’s comments? “Not only can they play and sing anything but they do it so well! Lots of fun and a very tight musical outfit! I’m looking forward to getting up with the band again soon.” See below comments made by the event coordinator for a function at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour: The 'Shooga Katz' were just sensational last Friday at 'dockside' Cockle Bay --------- They were the most successful band yet to do that event. They were prompt, helpful, a delight to work with and they are a band that 'looks' and 'sounds' great. I've done two more functions with the same client since then and have had numerous comments about how good the band was, and how they made the night a great success. I really hope I will be able to use their talents at some more events in 2007." Shooga Katz tailor their image and song list specifically to client requirements, making them suitable for most age groups as well as a popular choice with corporate clients. Now in their 12th year, Shooga Katz have withstood the test of time by producing the right mix of great music, fun, energy and audience interaction!
